Descriptions of our Yoga Classes

Yoga 1 - You will be guided through the classic Yoga postures with emphasis on aligning your body to help open places that feel tight, and breathing practices to increase your energy and stamina. All levels and abilities welcome.

Gentle Yoga – A wonderful way to experience yoga for those who desire a more gentle approach to yoga asana.  Breathing, gentle stretching and use of props will make this experience perfect for those with physical conditions, seniors and over stressed individuals looking to bring calmness into their lives.  No yoga experience necessary

Beginner Yoga - For beginners.  This class moves at a slower pace with additional direction for beginners. This 75 minute class will prepare you to step into a Yoga 1 class when you feel ready.

Chair Yoga - Suitable for all levels, but especially for those who experience issues getting up off the floor. All poses are in the chair or standing near the chair in case needed for balance.

Community Yoga - Suitable for all levels. This class is taught by our newer teachers and is always just $5. Cash only, please

Intro to Yoga – 5 or 6 week series for brand new beginners. This class will teach you the basics of breathing and postures with other new beginners.

Prenatal Yoga – The focus of this prenatal yoga class will be nurturing yourself and your baby, strengthening and stretching your body and calming your mind to release stress.  Breathing techniques to help focus your mind will be taught.  All this in preparation for your baby's birth.

Yin Yoga – Yin Yoga is a relaxed and mindful practice of sustained postures (up to 10 min.) focused on stimulating the "chi" in the connective tissues of the hips, pelvis and lower spine. This deep practice is gentle, yet intense, helping students to open the body while cultivating their ability to tune in and listen before surrendering to (rather than trying to control) their feelings.

Restorative - This deep practice is gentle, helping students to open the body while cultivating their ability to tune in and listen before surrendering to (rather than trying to control) their feelings.  Good for injury recovery or just relaxation.

Yoga 2 – A vigorous and energizing mixed levels class. Somewhat faster than Yoga 1, this class will keep you moving!
