Ever thought yoga was just for super-flexible people? Or that it looks like fun, but you've been afraid to look like a newbie in a public class? Yoga H’om has the solution: Intro to Yoga and Beginner Plus are beginner's programs designed for brand-new yogis and yoginis, as well as experienced yogis who want to deepen their practice. Please check the schedule for the start of the next New Beginner 5 Week Series. New Beginner Yoga is offered weekly with no pre-registration required.
The Intro to Yoga 5-week program and New Beginner Yoga Class provide hands on instruction to a limited number of participants in a small group environment. With individualized attention, experience the benefits of Pranayama (Breathing), Asana (Postures), and mindfulness meditation. These progressive beginner programs ease you into the practice of hatha yoga, exploring individual positions of healthy alignment, the transition between the poses and using the breath to deepen the practice. Each new class builds on the information and the experience of the prior class, allowing you to develop a strong foundation and progressively increase your flexibilty, strength and balance.
Yoga is healthy for just about anyone. You don't have to be flexible to do yoga; although flexibility will come naturally with regular practice. All you really have to do is show up with a desire to do your best. These programs are appropriate for beginners, as well as beginners with health challenges and for more experienced students who want individualized attention to refine their poses and their practice. Bring the questions that you've always wanted to know, but have never asked before in a public yoga class. Space is limited so pre-registration is required for the Intro to Yoga 5 Week Session. Walk-ins are welcome in the ongoing Beginner Yoga classes and you may begin at any time.
