Beginning students will find the slow pace more accommodating and less strenuous than vinyasa oriented flow classes. Yin Yoga – Yin Yoga is a relaxed and mindful practice of sustained postures focused
on stimulating the "chi" in the connective tissues of the hips, thighs,
pelvis and lower spine. This deep practice is gentle, yet intense,
helping students to open the body while cultivating their ability to
tune in and listen before surrendering to (rather than trying to
control) their feelings. Poses are held between ten breaths and ten
minutes. This is done to liberate the body's chronic holding patterns
helping students to recapture some of the ease and freedom of movement
they had as a child. A Yin yoga class is the perfect antidote
to stress and a great counter balance to more active styles of yoga,
martial arts, cycling and running. Regular class pricing.
